DAoC MAPS - DAoC Videos
This page is dedicated to videos created in DAoC over the years. It is by no means comprehensive but having played the game since release in 2001, and with personal knowledge of the events surrounding each video, I believe they are among the most widely appreciated and should not simply fade away, ever.
(Update: We’ve launched MyGameGallery.com to bring you more DAoC Video options)
1. Remember daoc video by Aladora (music: All the things she said by T.A.T.U.)
Remember is a video created by Aladora as a tribute to Erin, also known as Tabbie in game, on the Guinevere server. Erin passed away in December of 2002 after a lengthy battle with illness but not before having left a positive impression on countless numbers of players. Remember is one of my favorite videos and I believe Aladora can be credited for creating some of the best DAoC Videos ever.
2. Heart of Albion video by Aladora (music: Now We Are Free, Hans Zimmmer)
Heart of Albion is another excellent video created by Aladora on the Guinevere server of DAoC. This video was created as a tribute for a departing player, Alaya Angelsoul, and as you can see a lot of Albion players showed up in respect. There was some controversy surrounding Alaya and this event, not surprising given that it’s set in a virtual world where people speak freely, but the quality and meaning of the video should not be forgotten. Alaya belonged to the guild Domus Caliburn.
3. GO video by Aladora (music: The Race by Dance Dance Revolution)
GO is the fun and light hearted DAoC video created by Aladora featuring two skalds racing accross the virtual lands of Camelot. The race featured the fastest members from the guilds Reverence and Knights Templar.
4. My Immortal video by Mystr Byrnz (music: My Immortal by Evanescence)
My Immortal was proclaimed to be one of the best in game DAoC videos of all time. The powerful voice of Amy Lee combined with the excellent plot and filming by Mystr Byrnz combined to make a lasting impression on DAoC fans everywhere.
There are many, many more quality DAoC videos and many will find their way onto this page. Please share your thoughts and if you’d like to see another daoc video immortalized for all time, request it in a comment. Was one of these your favorite? If not, which is ??
I remember going to the memorial for Tabbie. Video brings back some memories haven’t seen it in about 4 years.
I never knew Tabbie, but I remember running into this video back when I played Daoc and it left such an impression that I still remember it to this day.
