Weapon Speed Calculator Notes:
- Quickness is said to be soft capped at 250 however it’s been shown that Quickness past this level yields diminishing returns. The calculators quickness is capped at 250.
- This calculator is based on the now defunct “spydor’s” works and appears to have remained accurate, it will be updated as DAoC announces changes.
- Overall weapon speed is capped at 1.5 seconds per swing, if the calculator suggests you are swining faster than this it would be wise to switch to a slower weapon to benefit from its increased damage.
- Calculator also works for 1 hand weapons if you leave left stats empty.
- Get an edge on your enemies, depending on your final weapons of choice you may not need to max Quickness and/or haste to max swing speed and you can better spend those points elsewhere in your template. Let others waste precious template room on things that don’t help!
- Facts: A weapon with a higher weapon speed will hit less often, but when it does hit, it catches up by doing more damage at once. A weapon with a lower speed hits more frequently, but for less damage. Faster weapons essentially proc more often because they hit more often, thus, speed matters. Though equal overall – faster weapons benefit from procs and interupts to a bigger degree.
